Mike Pappenheim

I saw Ian many times over the last 15 or so years and every time I saw him it was getting better and better. He obviously worked really hard at his art and when I last saw him , he really was playing so beautifully and with so much energy – to my ears he could be compared to many of the jazz big names ( and being an amateur player myself l do listen to a lot of jazz saxophonists). . I wish Ian had been given more time on this earth but sadly his time was too short. RIP Ian Price
